The MetamorphosisMembers of a family are a great deal affected when something suddenlychanges. Family relationships and special bonds can be changed andsometimes change surface broken. The attitudes of family members may be alteredaround the sudden change. In Franz Kafka&8217s The Metamorphosis, afamily&8217s bond is broken apart by a sudden change in Gregor Samsa. Theauthor deals with changes in Gregor and within the unanimous family.The family&8217s attitude changes through egress the book. Gregor&8217s sister,Grete, manoeuvered the largest change in attitude. In the beginning she felt sorryfor her unfortunate brother and she continued to show that she still caredabout him. She took care of him and fed him when no one else seemed tocare. afterwards seeing her &8220changed brother for the first time and beingfrightened by his appearance, &8220she lost control of herself and slammed thedoor shut again. Grete still cared for her brother compensate though he hadchanged. Grete fe eling sorry for Gregor, brought him an assortment offoods, to find out which ones he liked. She also wanted to help him out byremoving the article of furniture from his bedroom so he could have more room to flinch around. Eventually, Grete began to feel annoyed and disgusted bythe presence of her brother. By not caring anymore, she no longer fed noracknowledged her brother. Grete was the first to tell that the familyneeded to get rid of Gregor. After his death she was content to go on withthe rest of her life, with out the burden of her brother.Gregor&8217s mother had a very similar attitude towards the change inGregor. When she first motto him she had great sorrow. In the beginning,she refused to give up hope that Gregor would someday be normal again. She showed her feelings by disagreeing with Grete when she wanted toremove his furniture. She wanted the room untouched, so that whenGregor came back it would be exactly the same and he could easily barthe whole thing. As her attit udes changed in the end, she too becameirritated by Gregor.Gregor&8217s father had the hardest time accepting Gregor. His attitudetowards him changed the quickest. He wanted to bewilder Gregor back intohis room the minute he saw him. His father gratingly chased him back to hisroom with a cane. His father injured his nog by shoving him through histight door way. When Mr. Samsa found out that Gregor had left his roomwhile he was out, he attempted to kill him. all told in all it was the wound his
